Founded in 1989, by Lydia Jones, Alternatives, provides our customers with a wide range of tailoring and personalized fitting services. Lydia Jones, trained by Aquascutum, is highly trained tailoress and seamtress who has had a distinguished career from quality control to high street fashion.

Until recently, Alternatives have been operating from their premises behind the Bull Hotel in Stony Stratford but modern times require a modern approach and now Alternatives offers a full convenience service with its Mobile Clothing Alteration Service.

Lydia's team are ready to come to your location and provide a personal tailoring service. Once your clothes have been fitted, they will be altered at our workplace and sent back to you. You may choose a variety of postal options including Next Day Special Delivery.

Alternatives became a founder member of the Chamber of Commerce (Milton Keynes and North Bucks) in 1995.
